Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

This opportunity has been commissioned as part of the ‘Five Year Forward View For Mental Health Strategy’ which focusses on Integrated services being developed to join up physical and mental health care for those people suffering with a long term physical health condition and co-morbid common mental health difficulties. As a third sector agency Lancashire Women’s Centres will be working in partnership with Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust’s Mindsmatter service. .

It is essential that applicants have at least 1 years experience in a mental health setting as a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.

Volunteering Roles:

BodyFit Volunteer

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and motivated volunteers who have an interest in sport or physical activity to support our successful BodyFit Programme currently running across East Lancs.  More details regarding what the role of a volunteer entails are available via the Job Description and Person Specification.

Potential volunteers will be required to complete an Application Form and attend some training scheduled at our Burnley Centre for 21st June 2017 - details of which can be viewed here.

Trustee - Treasurer

Lancashire Women's Centres are recruiting a Treasurer to join their board

Role summary:

  • Monitor the financial standing of the charity and reports to the Board and CEO regarding cash-flow forecasting, income streams, out-going expenses and the overarching strategic management of the organisation’s financial resources
  • Oversee the charity’s financial risk-management process and report financial health to the board of trustees at regular intervals
  • Acts as a counter signatory on cheques and applications to funders and ensure that annual accounts are submitted to all relevant regulators in a timely fashion
  • Liaising with external auditors on financial issues and ensuring that the organsiation’s finances are responsibly managed/invested for the betterment of the organisation’s work and for the beneficiaries it serves

This is a chance to make a big difference to the work of Lancashire Women’s Centres. The support of Trustees is very important to us in order for us to achieve our objectives. Trustee meetings are held every six weeks (up to seven per year), with an expectation that trustees will attend at least five  meetings per year.  This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses will be paid.
